The restaurant’s interior blends a modern, sleek design with a laid-back, casual atmosphere, making it perfect for both intimate meals and family gatherings.
The menu at dPlace is carefully curated to showcase a variety of flavorful options. One standout dish is the OC Galbi, a Korean-style short rib that comes with traditional Korean side dishes. It's a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant for the first time. The tender meat paired with kimchi offers an authentic taste that perfectly complements the Korean culinary experience. For pasta lovers, the Myungran Cream Pasta stands out, with a rich, creamy sauce enhanced by pollack roe and an array of seafood, including squid and mussels. The creamy texture, along with the slight chewiness of the squid and tender mussels, makes for a satisfying dish that is rich in flavor.
Aside from the signature dishes, dPlace offers a range of appetizers and sides, such as fried calamari, which is a favorite among many patrons. While the food is generally praised, some dishes may not appeal to everyone’s taste. For instance, the beef tartare is noted for being surprisingly sweet, and the cheese bread, with its whipped cream and honey topping, may not suit everyone’s palate. However, with its wide range of menu options, there is always something to satisfy different tastes.
Whether you're here for a brunch with family or a late lunch with friends, dPlace Steak & Pasta offers a unique dining experience where Korean and Italian flavors come together in an unforgettable way.
dPlace Steak & Pasta Reviews
This hidden gem of a restaurant is gaining traction online, and although I can't gatekeep it anymore, I can still enjoy the wonderful food. The restaurant has a unique charm that balances a modern, sleek look with a casual vibe. The service is always quick and attentive. The OC Galbi is a must have if you're coming here for the first time - with korean side dishes of course. I've never gotten the American sides with it and never plan to. I couldn't imagine eating the galbi with fries and a bread roll instead of kimchi. The pasta is also very good - I really like their cream pastas. My new favorite is the myungran cream pasta. The pollack roe complements the creamy sauce and variety of seafood, such as squid and mussels. The squid is maybe a little rubbery, but the pasta is very rich and creamy and the mussels were yummy, so I didn't really care. I will say that tonight was my second time trying the crunch honey shrimp. The first time I tried it, I didn't like it. I tried it one more time tonight just to make sure and yeah, it's not the best. The batter is not very crispy and the shrimp itself is not sweet - the corn flake cereal stuff scattered around the shrimp is what's sweet. It's kinda weird - it is essentially a plate of shrimp tempura with a scoop of Frosted Flakes dumped on top. Get the calamari instead. I always enjoy having the calamari.
Stopped in for Sunday brunch with the family Decor: restaurant is simply design with a comfy feel. Tables are not crammed tight with lots of space to move around. Service: server was attentive and we were regularly checked in. The kitchen even send over extra chicken for the chicken and waffles because the server said they wanted to give note Food: liked 1. Galbi- meat was very tender big enough to share. Just wish the temperature of the meat was a bit warmer. 2. The burger and fries were well portion and according to my little nephew was delicious. 3. The fried calamari was also loved by the table. Nice crunch and perfect for sharing. 4. Pasta was creamy and nicely seasoned. Food: disliked 1. Their beef tartare was surprisingly sweet. We tried adding more pepper but couldn't get pass the sweetness. 2. Cheese bread. Once again very sweet. We did not expect the center to be whipped cream and a honey topping. Overall: would recommend this restaurant for some Korean/American fusion fare. Would like to come back for dinner to see what else they have you offer.
Came back to give this place another try, and I'm glad I did--they really delivered this time. The service was great, and the food was miles better than it was during their soft opening a couple of years ago. Here's what we had: Fried Calamari: Just as good as I remembered--crispy and perfectly cooked. Truffle Garlic Fries: Can't go wrong with this one. Absolutely fantastic, one of the highlights. Grapefruit Burrata Salad: A refreshing dish that balances nicely with the richer items we ordered, especially if you're a burrata fan. Pescatore Pasta: A great balance of seafood and sauce, really satisfying. Creamy Seafood Risotto: Loved this dish. The risotto was perfectly creamy, with plenty of seafood to complement the richness. Myung Ran Cream Pasta: Hands down my favorite dish of the night. If you love roe pasta, this is a must-try. The roe, egg, mussels, squid, and seaweed all came together in a velvety cream sauce--felt like something you'd get at a Japanese pasta spot. I'll definitely be back!
My friend recommended this Korean fusion restaurant. They have many types of Korean pasta, such as soybean paste pasta and perilla oil pasta, but since I had just eaten pasta the day before, I chose their lunch special bibimbap rice and pork belly chop steak. Although it is a bit different from traditional Korean food and mixed with Western elements, it is also very delicious. They are more famous for oc galbi, but I didn't order it because I was afraid that two people could not finish it. There are not many people on weekdays, so you don't have to wait for a seat, and the restaurant is very large and has comfortable seating. Overall, I would recommend for a group of people to come to share more different dishes. Because so many things I wanted to try. would definitely come back to try their dinner menu, which is a little different from lunch.
I really enjoyed the food here. It's Korean and Italian fusion. My friend and I came around 2 pm on a weekend for a late lunch and it wasn't super busy. The service wasn't bad. We enjoyed everything we ordered (see pictures) and I'm excited to go back to try their dinner menu.
